My initial reaction: I don't even know there's such a thing. THat's impossible.
Upon reading the post, well, they're all correct. Plastic surface is prone to scratches so one minus point. Another thing, I'm curious
how things are stored in there... is it synched with a PC, like what iTunes-iPhone tandem have?

I've had a Pre for almost a week now I haven't come around to sync anything but I've read that "Synergy" backs up data
over the air thus eliminating the need to back up PIM to a PC.

I personally don't think so. The Pre might have the bells and whistles of a true smartphone. However, with the new Iphone 3G S improvements, the
Pre might just be eating apple dust pretty soon. What's with the buttons anyway?
Nonetheless, people who owns an iphone knows for a fact that the iphone does NOT multi-task. It simply saves the last state of an application upon
closing. Here's where the Pre comes in very nicely.
But then again, who' s that busy with their smartphones? You have your powerbook or ibook or macbook to serve the same purpose and more, right?
Supposing you own one, of course.
Pre caters to sprint and the iphone to AT&T. If you live in the states, the least expensive way to have call minutes, texts and data is by way of
Pre. Since we're not in the states and rates are cheaper, we generally go for looks. So, who do you pick?
Nothing to see here...why?
'coz I simply don't brag.

The iPhone CAN multitask but Apple prevents third party apps from doing so in order to preserve the user experience. Even right now, some third party
apps are not written well and end up not returning the memory they use to the system when it quits - resulting is sometimes the iPhone needing a
restart. So for the benefit of having a better user experience, Apple has to control the operating environment.

YES PALM PRE RULES! Set aside my iPhone unused at home since I've had the Pre for 2 weeks now. GREAT QWERTY pad, fast and multi-tasking
FANTASTIC!

The Web OS has multi-tasking capability but as we speak, Android is making waves now. If Apple can put multi-tasking capabilities on iPhone OS and
upcoming iPad then that will be at par with Web OS and Android.
I'm back from the dead.
