US iPhone..Openline?
Hi! My mom is planning to go to the US and I'm wondering if iPhones bought in the US can be used here?

It's possible but you need to unlock it first. iPhone in the US is tied-up with AT&T and any other networks will not work.
Some guys here in PhilMUG can give you information on SIM unlocking so you can use the iPhone with Globe, Smart or Sun.
Another alternative is to post a forum asking users selling their iPhone 3G or 3G S from Globe so you do not need unlocking.

hi, my bro bought home a new iphone 3gs thats locked with at&t, know anywhere i can have it unlocked?

Jailbreak it. There are plenty DIY instructions available... just follow the instructions very carefully to be able to succeed.
