Help! iOS4 turned my 3G iPhone into a brick!
Can someone please help me, please?
Yesterday morning I was itunes notified me of iOS4. I downloaded it and after that, it started to backup my phone. There was no warning that that
could take a long time. Pressed for time, I had no other option but to click the "stop" tab while it was around 15 minutes into the backup
and based on the bar showing my progress, only about 10-15% done. Had no problem with my phone durng the day.
When I got home I synced my phone again and then there was another prompt for the new OS. So I just let the whole synching and installing process pan
out. After the very long (1 hour at least) backup process, I saw the phone was being updated and as time passed, the dialog box on my desktop showed
that it was installing iphone software, and then it was reinstalling software and then installing iphone proprietary software. When it was done, my
phone was showing the image prompting me to connect to itunes and the slide bar was showing something about for "emergencies" and when you
slide the bar, the numeric key pad will appear. Even the phone service is cut off, which I think is because the iphone reverted to its brick state.
I tried to reconnect with iTunes but for the nth time this is what I get up to now: "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An
unknown error occurred (-9807). There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later."
I have tried it again later, much later, so much later, so so so much later to no avail. Then I decided to post this message hoping you guys can offer
me a solution for I am in very dire straits.
I apologize for the length of my post, from which you perhaps could measure the depth of my desperation

I was lucky i did not have any problems installing the new software update and the battery life is still the same. Why don't you try downloading
the update again and make sure your Mac software is updated including the iTunes (version 9.2). Good luck and i wish your updated iPhone running very
soon!
Please wait for master chizbol's advice also, he is more than qualified on this matter :-)

Download iOS4 somewhere...
Is there a way to download iOS4 without the iTunes? Yeah, I have iTunes but for some reason, I could not update to iOS4. I just think, my server
does not allow me access to iTunes Download server... I'm using satellite internet, traveling worldwide (with 100kbps speed).
Any idea how can I update my iPhone 3G?

you logged in? (itunes) try to do a keychain repair http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.4/en/mh1777.html
